Walk in the pine forest and on the beach of Schinias
“Departure from the predetermined meeting point at 4:30 a.m. Arrival at the Marathon Horse Riding Center at 5:30 a.m. to catch the sunrise.Then, transfer to the location where the activity will take place and transportation of the horses with a trailer. Preparation of the horses upon arrival and commencement of the activity (6:00-6:10). At the end of the experience, which lasts at least 2 hours, return to the starting point and back to the stable. Activity highlights:
- Number of participants up to 4 if experienced / up to 2 if inexperienced.
- In case the riders are inexperienced, they will need a lesson before the activity at a cost of 40 euros each (for their own safety and enjoyment).
- Desired weight of riders up to 75 kilograms (maximum up to 85 for experienced riders).
- Total duration of the activity is 3 hours.
- Excellent location in a place of historical interest. This is where the Battle of Marathon took place and the landing of the Persian troops.
- Riders must wear leggings or tracksuits and sports shoes or boots.
- Protective vest and helmet are provided by the center for each rider.
- Cost per person: 120 euros.

- It caters to 4 or 8 people. In the case of 8 individuals, the activity will be split into two one-hour rides for each group. While one group enjoys horseback riding, the other will take a 45-minute guided tour of the Marathon area and the tomb. If there are 4 individuals, they will proceed with the regular two-hour ride as in Package A (Walk in the pine forest and on the beach of Schinias)
- After returning to the stable, snacks and drinks of their choice will be provided upon request. There will be a one-hour stay at the stable for relaxation, observation, or participation in horse care, and consumption of snacks and drinks.
- In the case of 4 people, there will be a tour of the Marathon area and the tomb with explanations from the tourist guide about the historical sites, including references to antiquity. In the case of 8 people, transportation will be provided to the Historical Archaeological Museum of Marathon.
- Visit to the Marathon Museum. The premises of the Archaeological Museum of Marathon house the museum, the tomb of the Plataeans, and the cemetery from the Bronze Age. The tomb of the Plataeans is accessible via artificial lighting. Entrance opened by archaeologists where visitors can see the tombs and the remains of the fallen. Museum staff accompany visitors there, open the entrance, and are particularly helpful and informative. The Proto-Geometric cemetery is covered and accessible with an artificial ramp. It contains the collection of the Herodis family and Egyptian statues from the Roman period.
- Transfer at around 11:30 to Schinias Beach and free time for swimming at the beach and excellent dining options at Moraitis Beach bar. Departure at 4:00 p.m. and return to the hotel.
- For the package of 4 people, the price is 250 euros per person. Included in the 12-hour activity:
- Transportation to and from Marathon as well as individual transfers.
- Tour guide and guided tour at individual points.
- The 3-hour experience and horse care at the stable.
- Snack and beverage.
- For the package of 8 people, the price is 210 euros and exactly the same services are provided except that the horseback ride is approximately 1 hour.
